When going into the wild to capture the moments that wild birds experience in their natural habitat as a photographer needs to be quiet and calm to capture a good shot from the birds. Birds move to other hideouts that may be hard to find as the photographer had scared away the birds with loud sounds hence no picture can be taken. Fleeing of birds to other natural habitat may lead to no pictures taken as the birds can be spooked by loud steps and voices hence may not be easy to find. The photographer needs to survey and be familiar with the area in order to have the knowledge about features that are in the area and what behaviors are done by the birds in the area. The photographer should not reach into the surrounding and run towards the birds that are visible or being heard but the photographer should observe what is happening and what is being fed on by the birds. It is a half the journey of bonding with the birds and their habitat when a photographer learns the bird’s behavior and habits. Marking a usual spot that birds do their activities is easy as the birds have a habit of repeating the same things at the same place such as singing, feeding and drinking. A photographer should understand the routes and spots that are being used by the birds as the birds with time will be able to understand that the photographer is not a threat and can come closer. This helps with the pictures taken as the pictures can be more clearly hence telling more from the shot.
The birds have a habit that they can not be silent as they sing in loud voices. The photographer is at a better position to understand the communication between the birds in the surrounding environment hence the birds use the songs to call other birds. Learning the songs from the photographer’s favorite species gives the photographer the ability to locate and identify them the songs that are being sung from a far hence making it possible to have the best shots as the photographer approaches the birds. Singing songs that attract the male species especially in the mating season can give the photographer the best opportunity to take the best picture as the birds fly and protect their territory.
